Robert was named a finalist for Online Journalist of the Year and for Best Non-Political Commentary for his work in 2011.

Click Here.  Robert was named a finalist for his 2010 entertainment feature in the Huffington Post about mental illness in the movies.

Click Here.  Robert won 2nd place for his 2009 sports feature in the Huffington Post about the 1989 baseball season.

Click Here.  This 2008 piece in the L.A. Times on homelessness, mental illness and civil rights received honorable mention in the commentary category.

Robert won 2nd place in two categories for articles written for the Jewish Journal in 2007, one for his sports profile of bodybuilding guru, Joe Weider, and the other in the arts criticism field for his review of Yale School of Management Professor Jonathan Feinstein’s book on creativity.

 

Click Here.  He also received honorable mention in the feature category for a piece that appeared in the 2005 Best of L.A. issue of the L.A. Weekly.  The piece was a remembrance of Ronald Reagan, whom Robert met while running near the beach in Santa Monica.
