Robert won 2nd place for the Jewish Journal in 2007, in the arts criticism field for his review of Yale School of Management Professor Jonathan Feinstein’s book on creativity.

He also received honorable mention in the feature category for a piece that appeared in the 2005 Best of L.A. issue of the L.A. Weekly. The piece was a remembrance of Ronald Reagan, whom Robert met while running near the beach in Santa Monica.
