Bryan Whiley
Sings the Word

A voice is a lovely way to channel the Lord.  It may be the most sublime or divine gift that God has given us.

 

Bryan Whiley, son of Carolyn Whiley, my dear sister, has a beautiful voice.

 

He is a fan in particular of the music of Smokey Robinson, and his singing reaches ethereal heights.

 

Of course, what is most impressive about Bryan is the love that he brings to his singing, the love that he channels when he sings Smokey Robinson’s songs or the songs of Gospel singers.

 

I love Bryan, who is a brother to me.

 

He has a Superman-like quality, a gentle giant, who loves superheroes and who is one himself.

 

He is an extremely kind and modest man, who never boasts or brags, and who does some of the most beautiful and loving things for everyone in the House of the Lord in the Bay Area, for Carolyn, for Shannon, for Joe, for Mama, for Grace, for little Jacob, for little Pepper, and for all of our friends.

 

I have many fond memories of playing touch football and going bowling with Bryan on my birthday in 2023, and riding bumper cars with Bryan on his birthday in 2022.

 

An angel who scales the heights, Bryan has the sweetest disposition.

 

And that is a tribute to God and to Carolyn, Bryan’s mother, who has raised Bryan so beautifully with all the right values.

 

I feel very grateful to the Lord that Bryan is my friend, my brother.

 

And I love Bryan very dearly.
