Kathy, Carol’s Sister, Rocks with Soul

Carol is my wonderful girlfriend, and she has welcomed me into her family, chief among them Kathy, her sister, a charming and rascally angel.
Kathy loves word puzzles and tasty treats. She is a delight to hang out with, a joy, who loves Penny and Pepper, the two dogs that she shares with Carol and me.
And Kathy is always fun.
It is not always the case that when you join a new family that you feel welcomed.
But I do feel very welcomed by all of Carol’s family members, whom I have met, none more so than Kathy, with whom Carol and I have gone on road trips to Arizona and Laguna Beach.
Kathy and I have also gone for pizza at Casa Bianca, and she looks out for me, just as she looks out for Carol.
Like Carol and I, Kathy also lost her spouse, Art, her soul mate.
We sometimes talk about loss and the eternal nature of the soul.
As I have mentioned elsewhere, each person has his or her unique relationship with his or her soul mate.
No two people are alike, nor are any pair of soul mates.
But I do feel a strong bond to Kathy, when she speaks of Art.
Kathy has extraordinary intelligence, including at the emotional level, and extraordinary compassion and sophistication.
I know that I am very lucky to know Kathy and that she, like Carol, is an angel in my corner.
With her sharp intellect and deadpan delivery, Kathy keeps me alert and attuned to her ways with language.
I am grateful for her support and her charms, and I thank God for bringing me into such a beautiful family.
Carol rocks, and so does Kathy, who rocks with soul!
